The Jewish Community Center (JCC), through the generous support of St. Louis Variety, is pleased to introduce the Fit for Life program. Fit for Life provides free personal training services to children and teenagers (ages 8 – 18) with developmental, physical or mental disabilities. Through a variety of fitness-related exercises and recreational activities, the JCC’s personal trainers will help Fit for Life participants not only gain physical fitness improvements, but also improve self-esteem and social skills.

Included among the many activities, are aerobic exercise, strength training, balance, hand-eye motor development drills and recreational games. The last day of each program session will include a special event to honor the participants and their achievements.

Enrollment is currently open for each of the five remaining Fit for Life eight-week sessions being held throughout 2005. Sessions will be held twice a week for one hour.
